Support in refining and implementing front-end UX changes. Participates in team daily standups and other agile (scrum or kanban routines). Solicits missing information from stakeholders (in or outside team) to clarify requirements before beginning work. Triage and diagnose issues and implement appropriate software web code to resolve the issue(s), test and then deploy on to production environments. Writes high-quality code or markup including: PHP, HTML, JavaScript, SQL, and CSS. Develops technical documentation and architecture diagrams. Development with frameworks and tools such as: Drupal 9, React, Fleet, SASS; Docker, Behat, PHP Unit; GitHub, TravisCI, Acquia Hosting, AWS. Responsible for ensuring that custom Drupal modules are contained within the City’s code repositories and remain compatible with current Drupal Framework versions.
Recently experienced three years of full-time developing or managing enterprise Drupal websites, version 8 or 9. Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript technologies with strong knowledge of Drupal and React implemented within the Drupal framework. Salesforce experience sufficient to develop and support applications in Drupal. SQL experience sufficient to develop and support applications with a database back-end. Demonstrated a user-centric philosophy of application development, with a strong desire to understand underlying user needs and the ability to effectively serve them with well-designed technology. Mapping experience with Google Maps. Experience scripting APIs. Experience with agile (scrum or kanban) software development methodologies. Experience with Jira. Efficient approach to development projects, with an orientation towards more nimble development methodologies. Strong familiarity with modern web development best-practices, including the use of javascript and UI frameworks, mobile responsive sites, web services, and the use of SaaS platforms. Strong familiarity with testing and ensuring ADA & WCAG accessibility requirements.
