Overview: Sentara Virginia Beach General is currently hiring an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) to join the Emergency Department. Shift: Full Time (36hrs) Days - Wed-Friday 7a-7p
Job Summary: As an
Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) with Sentara, you can work in either inpatient or outpatient Emergency Department settings. This role is a great gateway to begin your career in the medical field. This position's primary responsibilities include lab draws, EKGs, and assisting the nurses and doctors with patient care. You will find that teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to ensure the best care for our patients.
Job Requirements :
- Required: High School Grad Diploma or Equivalent
- Required: Clinical experience - <1 year
- Required: EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire OR Successful completion of US Military Hospital Corps School, qualified MMAC candidates OR current students enrolled in an advanced clinical program (e.g., RN, LPN, Respiratory, Physical Therapy).

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $20.07 - $29.88 hourly.Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
