Starting Pay: $18.50 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st: 5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m; 2nd: 2:30p.m-11:00p.m.
Overtime: Occasional Saturday work may be available based on production needs
Reports To: Production Supervisor
Location: Near Elgin, Illinois

Position Summary
Peloton Workforce is seeking a dependable and motivated General Production Laborer for a client near Elgin, Illinois. This temporary-to-hire opportunity is ideal for someone who demonstrates reliable attendance, a strong work ethic, a commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to consistently produce quality work.
This position supports the production of high-quality custom ceramic and refractory products used in demanding industrial applications. Previous ceramics experience is not required; training will be provided.
Essential Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of general production and manufacturing tasks as assigned.
Assist with forming, finishing, assembling, handling, and packaging products.
Load, unload, move, and stage raw materials and finished products.
Inspect products for visible defects and ensure they meet established quality standards.
Follow production instructions, work orders, and established procedures.
Operate basic production equipment and hand tools after receiving appropriate training.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of required personal protective equipment.
Work cooperatively with team members and promptly communicate problems or concerns to a supervisor.
Assist with housekeeping, material handling, and other production-related duties as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to consistently report to work on time for the 5:00 a.m. shift.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to stand for an eight-hour shift.
Willingness to learn new processes and skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to perform physical work throughout the workday.
Willingness to work occasional Saturdays when overtime is needed.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous manufacturing, warehouse, production, or other hands-on work experience.
Experience using basic hand tools or production equipment.
Experience working in a quality- or safety-focused environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to frequently bend, reach, push, pull, and use hands and arms.
Ability to lift and move materials and finished products as required.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and ceramic materials.
